The importance of community

It’s important that we recognise that community really matters.  Humans are relational – we need other people.  Community brings different perspectives, a place that is enriching to us, a place where people look out for us, where we find help and give help.  Community is not just geographic, it’s relational.

Equally, therefore, community matters to us as a family of schools.  Our students need to see what it means to be part of a community and contribute to it; we need to model how a safe, vibrant and equitable community operates.
