About Aldridge Education
We believe that education should be stimulating, enriching and enjoyable.
That strong schools achieve this through creating the right environment for high-quality learning having strong, broad and relevant curricula; by having clear boundaries, building excellent relationships and working to close gaps for every learner.
We believe that a great education empowers people, both children and adults, because it offers them genuine choices for their future decisions. And helps them to appreciate the value of learning throughout their lives.
Our mission doesn’t stop at the age of 18 because we also support adult education for all. Whatever your age, we want to support you in learning and training. That’s why we’re building towards having adult provision – parallel provision - aligned to our schools in each region.
Now more than ever, in the light of Covid-19, our young people need an education which equips them to navigate a turbulent, fast-changing world. They need agility and resilience. And our most vulnerable or disadvantaged learners will be those who are most in need.
To turn our vision into reality, we focus on five Aldridge Ambitions – the things we want to be known for – by our own communities and beyond our own communities.
- An integrated school improvement and staff development programme which closes gaps for all and by all - bringing excellence in culture, curriculum and learning.
- A free-to-all virtual learning programme across the Trust which supports our learners in closing their gaps.
- Outstanding destinations for every learner which are the sector best in their chosen field.
- Equal outcomes for the hardest to reach in our Trust through strong family partnerships which build cultural capital for all.
- Parallel provision - an integrated and aligned 18+ provision for training and support, working in partnership with each of our school communities.
Our mission is to provide Aldridge Advantage to all, including the hardest to reach, leaving no-one behind. This means that, above and beyond the high-quality education that we believe every school wants to provide, we offer Aldridge Advantage through:
- Curriculum and culture
- Levelling the playing field
- Closing the gap
- Aldridge Enterprise, and
- Benefitting our communities.

Our beliefs and intentions
We believe that strong schools and trusts achieve through high-quality teaching; strong and relevant curricula that retain breadth within and between future career pathways; through clear boundaries and excellent relationships.
We believe that a great education empowers our young people because it offers them genuine choices for their future decisions. We believe that it allows our pupils and students to understand the value of education and learning throughout their lives.
Now more than ever, in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic, and as the world struggles to recover from the medical, mental health and economic tragedy it has experienced, our young people need an education which equips them to navigate a turbulent, fast-changing world. They need agility and resilience. And our most vulnerable young people will be those who are most in need. Now more than ever, our beliefs and ambitions are vital to the most disadvantaged in our communities.
Our ambition is that our young people can look forward to the whole of their futures with anticipation because they have turned what excited and stimulated them at school into a career that provides economic security and a life that is enriching, both to them and to those around them. We want them to leave their schooling with the employability skills they need to increase their options through starting their own businesses or being able to adapt to new jobs that don’t exist as yet.
And those beliefs are for all our young people – you’ll see in our mission that we want to reach the most vulnerable and hardest to reach.
